Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center in Nashville is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support GI and endoscopy procedures. You will prepare rooms and equipment, assist physicians and nurses, and maintain a clean, organized environment to protect patients and staff.

The role requires at least 1 year OR experience; CPR/BCLS within 30 days; GI/Bronchoscopy experience preferred; and flexibility with endoscope reprocessing.

Qualifications

• BCLS/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• One-year OR experience required.
• GI/Bronchoscopy experience preferred.
• Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verify equipment is in proper working order, and keep supplies organized and stocked.
• Help position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics.
• Support physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following safety practices.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment, and keep accurate records for quality and safety.
• Communicate with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed and supporting their privacy and comfort.
