Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team, supporting Neuro at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville. This is a PRN day shift position, requiring flexibility for weekends, holidays, and call rotation.

Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring safe, efficient procedures. Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience; BLS required; CST preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.

Education
