Job summary

Temple Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician who, under the guidance of a registered nurse, provides care and safety for patients during procedures, handles instrument and supply preparation, and assists with patient setup.

Responsibilities include preparing the room per procedure and physician preferences and anticipating the physician's needs to support a smooth, efficient endoscopy suite.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology is preferred.
• 1 year experience in a procedural or operating room is preferred.
• Basic Life Support is required.

Responsibilities

• Care and safety of patients under care.
• Prepare cases and assist with patient preparation.
• Proper handling of instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Prepare the room based on the specific procedure and physician's preference.
• Anticipate the physician's needs.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
