Job summary

Medical City Healthcare is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for a PRN, on-site role in the GI/endoscopy service. You will assist with preparing rooms and equipment, position patients, support the care team during procedures, and ensure equipment is clean, sterile, and properly documented.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided to ensure patient safety and care quality across procedures. This position offers flexible scheduling to meet department needs.

Qualifications

  • BCLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

  • Prepare procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment; verify equipment is in proper working order and keep supplies organized.
  • Help position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics.
  • Support physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices.
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment and keep accurate records for quality and safety.
  • Communicate with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, you’ll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well‑organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways. This is a PRN position with no travel required, and no prior experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment; verify equipment is in proper working order and keep supplies organized and stocked.
  • Help position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself.
  • Support physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices.
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment and keep accurate records for quality and safety.
  • Communicate with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout care.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
