Job summary

Lone Peak Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Endoscopy Technician PRN to support GI procedures in Draper, Utah. The role emphasizes safe prep, instrument handling, sterile technique, and compassionate patient interaction.

Responsibilities include room setup, patient positioning, assisting during procedures, maintaining records, and upholding privacy and comfort for patients and families. PRN status may require flexibility with shifts and call coverage.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of technologist course or comparable experience preferred.
• One year of hospital-based experience required.

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked.
• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself.
• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices.
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety.
• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care.
