Job summary

Lone Peak Hospital in Draper, UT is seeking an Endoscopy Technician PRN to support GI and endoscopy procedures. You will prepare rooms and equipment, assist during procedures, and help maintain safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, infection control, and teamwork with physicians and nurses in a busy hospital setting. This position is PRN and part-time, supporting excellent patient care in a community hospital.

Qualifications

• BLS/BCLS certification required.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of technologist course or comparable experience preferred.
• One year of hospital-based experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment and verify equipment working order.
• Assist in patient positioning and safe transport.
• Support physicians and nurses during procedures and handle instruments.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment; maintain records for quality and safety.
• Communicate with kindness and protect patient privacy and comfort.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, you’ll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well-organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked
• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself
• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety
• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care

What qualifications you will need:

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of technologist course or comparable experience preferred.
• One year of hospital-based experience required.
