Job summary

Englewood Health is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to support the Endoscopy Department in Englewood, NJ. You will inspect and operate all endoscopy equipment, assist physicians and nurses, and maintain instruments and inventory for safe, efficient procedures.

This per diem role includes day shifts (8am–6pm, 10-hour days) with weekend on-call rotations. Requirements: 2+ years in hospital or GI facility endoscopy tech, knowledge of aseptic technique and high-level disinfection, and

• A minimum of two (2) years of hospital or GI facility endoscopy tech experience required
• Knowledge of endoscopy equipment, aseptic technique, and high-level disinfection methods required
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and rapport in all interactions
• Strong service excellence skills and must be a team player

Responsibilities

• Inspects and functionally operates all Endoscopy equipment, electric power instruments and audiovisual equipment to insure optimum safety and performance.
• Prepares purchase requisitions and disposition of storeroom supplies.
• Is responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory, processing and maintenance of instruments, scopes and equipment.
• Processes associated paperwork and maintains records on all equipment.
• Assists the physician and nurse in the procedure rooms of the Endoscopy Suite under the direction of the Patient Care Director or designee.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical School, SGNA GI Technical specialist course or equivalent experience preferred

Certifications:

• CEFR (CBSPD) or CER (HSPA) certification required within 2 years of hire and maintained throughout employment.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
