Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Edison, NJ is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to prepare rooms, assist physicians, and maintain endoscopy equipment across procedures. You will transport patients, aid in emergencies, and ensure clean, ready-to-use spaces.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related clinical experience with recent cleaning scopes.
• 2+ years experience as Endoscopy Technician preferred.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (HCP) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Endoscopy rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment for each procedure; assists physician as directed.
• Maintains endoscopy equipment and keeps carts, accessories, and supplies neat and dry.
• Transports patients to and from units as needed; accompanies patient on discharge when necessary.
• Assists with reprocessing scopes according to policy and manufacturer's guidelines; wears PPE; performs high level disinfection.
• Keeps logs up to date and notifies charge nurse of any problems with reprocessing; calls equipment tech support as needed.
