Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join the Chestnut Surgical Center team in Springfield, MA. The role provides direct and indirect clinical support in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology/endoscopy settings, under RN/physician supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care during procedures, preparing patients, processing specimens, and maintaining equipment and room readiness to ensure efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Endoscopy Technician.
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematical tasks with aptitude.
• Willingness to complete orientation and adhere to procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in teams.
• Maintains focus in clinical settings and handles emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/physician with patient care activities during procedures.
• Support endoscopy procedures and adhere to planned care.
• Prepare patients for flexible sigmoidoscopy and administer Fleet enemas as directed.
• Process specimens per procedures and guidance.
• Ensure endoscopy room turnover and supply readiness.
• Maintain and restock room supplies and equipment.
