Job summary

Asante is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support physicians during endoscopic procedures and to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of reusable equipment. The role involves assisting with the procedure, collecting specimens, and preparing equipment to operate safely and efficiently.

The position offers part-time hours (0.5 FTE) with variable hours and days. Compensation starts at $22.57 per hour, with swing/night/weekend differentials described below and benefits typical for part-time

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience.
• BLS: Basic Life Support certification upon start.
• Preferred SGNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopic therapeutic and diagnostic procedures according to departmental standards and protocols.
• Assist the physicians with the procedure, collecting specimens and processing according to policy.
• Ensure equipment is set up correctly and functioning before the procedure and troubleshoot during the procedure as needed.
• Ensure that the equipment is cleaned and reprocessed according to departmental standards.
• Maintain skills to provide a quality service and keep current with the industry.
• Communicate pertinent information concerning the procedure to the appropriate staff and physician.
