Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking an Endoscopy Support Technician to assist in endoscopic operations and patient preparation in a 40-hour/week onsite role at 2014 Washington Street, Newton. The position requires 1–2 years of endoscopy/surgical clinical experience and relevant associate degrees.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring endoscope functionality before procedures, with daily patient transport and room readiness.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology required.
• Associate's Degree in Related Field of Study required.
• Endoscopy/Operating room knowledge and procedures are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates/handles equipment properly during Endoscopic procedures.
• Assists in prepping room for the next patient.
• Assures endoscope equipment is in working order.
• Hangs, sets up, troubleshoots and tests the function of the endoscopes before the procedures begin.
