Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Support Technician to assist physicians during procedures, handle specimens, and ensure a clean, ready room.

You will help with colonoscopies and EGDs, maintain endoscopes, monitor safety during electrocautery, and respond to emergent situations under supervision. This role requires a high school diploma and the ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and coordinate work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-stress environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with endoscopy procedures, including colonoscopies and EGDs.
• Prepare and maintain the procedure room and equipment.
• Ensure patient safety during electrocautery and verify grounding.
• Assist during emergent situations up to including cardiac arrest.
• Troubleshoot equipment, coordinate annual checks, and contact vendors.
• Maintain endoscope inventory and perform routine inspections.
• Restock endoscopy supplies and monitor expiration dates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
