Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician 1 to assist with procedures under a Registered Nurse's supervision. You will support patient care, operate and maintain endoscopy equipment, and assist in aseptic technique.

A focus on safety and accuracy ensures efficient procedure preparation and post-procedure cleanup. The role involves handling equipment, transporting carts, and ensuring supplies are stocked and ready for upcoming exams.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year.
• Certification: BLS required or within 30 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains equipment safely per policies.
• Assists physician and staff in procedures requiring aseptic technique.
• Transports cart and prepares patient for exam or procedure.
• Observes patients for changes and seeks assistance when needed.
• Cleans and restocks procedure rooms and equipment.
• Performs quality checks and ensures equipment is disinfected.
