Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Rowlett, TX, is seeking a Gastroenterology Technician 2 to join the Endoscopy Lab on a full-time days shift. You will perform examinations, guide teammates, and help maintain a safe healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with sedations, monitoring vital signs, ensuring equipment cleanliness, training staff, and coordinating with nurses and physicians. You will also manage supplies and contribute to quality reports and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• BLS or CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with non-sedation procedures, inform patients and answer questions.
• Support sedation procedures with nurses and doctors; monitor vitals and assist in emergencies.
• Maintain clean, sterilized equipment and oversee staff for quality control in GI procedures.
• Assist in recovery room by monitoring patients and preparing lab slides for investigation.
• Document data during patient admission and discharge in GI Lab; coordinate with nurses and supervisors.
• Order supplies, liaise with vendors for timely delivery, and manage equipment maintenance schedules.
