Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Austin is seeking an Endoscopy Tech II to support Gastroenterology procedures in the GI Lab. You will supervise and guide fellow technicians, ensure sterile processing, and uphold patient safety during endoscopic treatments.

Role requires collaboration with clinicians, adherence to infection control and safety measures, and the ability to train new staff while maintaining documentation for admissions and discharges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• BLS or CPR certification required or willing to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procedures not requiring sedation and inform patients about the process.
• Support nurses and doctors during sedation; monitor vital signs and assist in emergencies.
• Keep equipment clean and sanitized; train others for quality control during GI procedures.
• Assist in the recovery room by monitoring patients and preparing lab slides for investigation.
• Document data during patient admission and discharge in the GI Lab with nurses.
• Order supplies and liaise with supervisors and vendors for timely delivery.
