Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians and nurses with endoscopy procedures under supervision. The role emphasizes patient safety and efficient procedural support.

Required is a high school diploma; preferred are endoscopy technician training and relevant certifications. The position requires achieving competency in PEG, EGD, colonoscopies and bronchoscopies within 180 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a formal endoscopy technician training program is preferred.
• Endoscopy technician certification from CPSPD/SGNA/HSPA/IAHCSMM is preferred.
• Nursing assistant certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors and RNs with endoscopy procedures under supervision.
• Repositions patients on stretchers and maintains patient safety.
• Assists in admitting and discharging outpatients and documents interviews.
• Functions under RN or Nurse Manager supervision and follows RN oversight.
• Maintains an environment conducive to patients’ safety.
