Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician I, 32 hours per week, on-site in Worcester, MA. The role supports physicians and nurses with endoscopic procedures, patient care, and instrument reprocessing.

A high school diploma with specialized training and 3–12 months of related experience are required. You will prepare procedure rooms, assist with patient transfers, and help maintain endoscopes and equipment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school plus additional specialized training.
• Three to twelve months’ experience in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of patient care, endoscopy procedures and GI anatomy.
• Must be flexible with scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure rooms for endoscopic procedures and assists with patient transfer.
• Assembles equipment including scopes and instruments for procedures.
• Assists physicians and staff during procedures and with specimen collection.
• Maintains and disinfects endoscopes and accessories; operates scope washing system.
• Demonstrates good judgment, discretion and communication while supporting the health care team.
