Job summary

ProMedica Health and Wellness Center in Ohio is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support endoscopic procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP, working closely with physicians and RNs. You will manage supplies and instruments and maintain sterile technique to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.

The role emphasizes constant attention to schedule details, readiness of equipment, and a commitment to quality patient care in a fast-paced GI setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand directions and communicate effectively; respond to inquiries.
• Ability to move about the facility and between workstations.
• Must tolerate exposure to latex and to bloodborne pathogens and body fluids.
• Must differentiate colors, work with video equipment, lasers and hazardous supplies and equipment, and operate patient care equipment.
• Must be able to frequently move, lift and/or carry medium heavy to weight objects and materials.
• Certification: BLS

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and RN during endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP).
• Ensure proper supply and instrument management by checking the daily schedule for patients of all ages.
• Maintain a sterile field and promptly address any breaks in sterile procedure during surgical procedures.
