Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a GI Associate to assist physicians and registered nurses in diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, prepare and reprocess endoscopy equipment, and support patient care under RN supervision.

The role includes serving as a first assistant to physicians, managing instruments and supplies, and participating in quality improvement activities within Perioperative Services. Some assignments may occur in other ancillary roles.

Qualifications

• Assists physician and RN in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Acts as first assistant to physicians during procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient transport and care delivery under RN supervision.
• Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment and instruments.
• Troubleshoot equipment and manage supply inventories.
• Respond to emergency situations as directed by RN.
