Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Engages in population-appropriate communication and gives clear instructions to patients/family.
• Recognizes and responds appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems.
• Performs clinical procedures only under RN supervision, with demonstrated competency.
• Obtains vital signs, including pulse oximetry where applicable.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, performs leak tests, and follows manufacturer QA.
• Assists with patient transport and ensures unit safety.
• Supports infection-control protocols and universal precautions.
