Atrium Health Navicent Health Medical Center - Surgical Services Endoscopy Ambulatory: ASC is seeking a full-time Endoscopy Support Technician. The role involves pre-, intra-, and post-procedure support, scope cleaning, patient care assistance, and precepting new staff.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of Gastroenterology Associate certification within 18 months of hire. Hours are 40 per week with four 10-hour shifts and rotating call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre, intra, and post-procedure support for the endoscopy team and ensure patient safety.
• Pre-clean endoscopes, perform leak tests, and disinfect scopes according to protocol.
• Assist the nurse with patient care tasks and equipment, including vital signs and supplies.
• Serve as a resource and preceptor for new endoscopy technicians, including orientation.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and correctly charged to the RN for medical records.
