Job summary

Advocate Health in Macon, GA is seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join the Surgical Services Endoscopy Ambulatory team. You will provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure support, assist with patient care, and ensure proper handling and documentation of biopsies.

You will pre-clean and high-level disinfect endoscopes, mentor new technicians, manage supplies, admit/discharge patients within the Endoscopy Center, and help position patients for procedures.

Qualifications

• Gastroenterology Associate certification within 18 months after hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to meet physical requirements listed.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure support for the endoscopy team and document findings.
• Pre-clean endoscopes and ensure high-level disinfection.
• Assist nurse with patient care and supplies during procedures.
• Mentor new endoscopy techs and complete orientation.
• Manage supplies and report faulty equipment for replacement or repair.
• Admit, discharge, or transfer patients within the Endoscopy Center.
• Position and transport patients safely for procedures.
