Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA. You will assist physicians with endoscopic procedures and provide technical support in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This 32-hour to 40-hour per week role features day shifts with on-call rotation, requiring strong sterile technique, safety focus, and teamwork to deliver high-quality patient care close to home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with additional specialized training.
• Previous Operating Room experience preferred; basic Medical Terminology required.
• CPR certification required and vaccination status per policy.

We are searching for a talented Endoscopy Technician

Hours: 32 flex 40hrs

Shift: Day shift with On Call rotation (weeknights, weekends and holiday); Variable hours

Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Manager, Patient Care Services or Designee, perform a variety of duties including providing technical services or support. Assist physicians with a variety of endoscopic procedures, including demonstrating clinical skills in an acute patient care environment.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized training.
• Previous Operating Room experience is preferred. Basic Medical Terminology is required.
• Must be able to understand and be knowledgeable of the principles of sterile technique, sterilization process, etc. Knowledge of fiber optics required.
• Three years and up to five years experience required.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $17.66 - USD $29.70 /Hr.
