Job summary

UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to provide technical support for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The role is onsite, with a full-time schedule (72 hours per pay period) and daytime shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians and nurses, handling specimens, sterilizing endoscopes, and maintaining the GI suite. A high school diploma and active BLS CPR are required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• BLS/CPR card must be valid through sixty days after hire.

Pay: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Provides technical support for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and nurses with performing procedures and providing patient care.
• Processes tissue and bodily fluids specimens.
• Prepares and maintains endoscopy equipment and supplies. Performs endoscope sterilization and processing.
• Maintains the GI procedure area in a clean, safe condition. Ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available for procedures.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: None Required.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
