Job summary

Endoscopy Center of Northern Ohio is seeking a Full Time Endoscopy Tech to join our Outpatient GI Center. You will render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures and prepare equipment for procedures.

The role requires a team player who can handle the GI lab environment, assist in procedures, and maintain equipment. Competitive salary and benefits offered; weekdays only, some evenings. Health, dental, and retirement options are provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Medical assistant certification.
• Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus.
• Current BLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI.
• Strong Customer Service Skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment.
• Must be able to function as a team player.
• Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures.
• Prepare equipment and anticipates Physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Provide general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment.
• Oversee the GI procedures and maintain all aspects of the GI procedure area.
• Assess patients prior to procedure. Document intra-procedure notes.
• Assist physician on all GI procedures.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area.
• Cleans and maintains equipment per Center policy.
• Assist in Preop and Recovery with turning over bays, discharging patients and stocking.
