St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a full-time Days Surgical Tech to support the operating room team. You will assist the surgeon, prepare instruments, and help maintain sterile procedures.

This role emphasizes patient care, safety, and efficient materials management; you will handle case carts, sterilization, and instrument counts, with opportunities for professional growth within UHS.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technical Program or on the job scrub tech training required.
• Six (6) months experience preferred
• BLS certification required.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and preparing for surgical procedures and assists the surgeon.
• Sterilizes surgical equipment and assembles scheduled and emergency case carts.
• Demonstrates correct Materials Management (instruments, sponges, needles, etc.).
• Counts surgical objects as required per policy.
• Ensures accountability and care of surgical specimens.
• Adheres to OSHA exposure plan guidelines.
