Job summary

Providence Swedish Endoscopy is seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Technician to schedule procedures, perform data entry for pH studies, and assist in the procedure room. You will handle endoscopy-related tasks including cleaning and disinfecting scopes, preparing equipment for sterilization and repair, and maintaining disinfection logs.

The role requires knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control, with weekend and weeknight call coverage.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technology, Anesthesia Technologist, CNA or Medical Assistant program.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification or Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License or Washington Surgical Technologist Registration.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor or National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors.
• 1 year of experience in a medical setting as a Surgical Technologist/Anesthesia Technologist/Nursing Assistant/CMA.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures including PPE, Bloodborne Pathogens, biohazard waste removal.

Responsibilities

• Schedule procedures and perform computer data entry for pH studies.
• Assist in the procedure room.
• Clean and disinfect scopes and prepare equipment for sterilization.
• Track scope repairs and cleaning/maintenance logs.
• Assist nursing staff with patient admission to the procedure room.
