Job summary

Piedmont-Healthcare’s Eastside Medical Center seeks a dedicated Endoscopy Unit Assistant to support physicians during procedures, maintain supplies and equipment, and provide patient care under the RN. The role includes clerical duties to ensure smooth Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy operations, including chart assembly and record keeping.

Responsibilities extend to cleaning and disinfecting equipment per policy, maintaining workstation order, and handling patient charges, with CNA/MA or GI/OR

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• GI/OR Technology program graduate preferred.
• CNA/MA program graduate preferred.
• No experience required; CNA/MA or Unit Secretary experience preferred; Endoscopy experience preferred.

• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred
• Graduate of CNA/MA program Preferred

Work Experience

• Previous experience as Unit Secretary or as CNA/MA Preferred
• Previous experience in Endoscopy Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current AHA BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
