Job summary

Liberty Endoscopy Center, a leading outpatient surgical facility, is seeking a Full-Time Endoscopy Technician to join our team. The Endo Tech assists the endoscopy team during procedures, prepares sterile setup, and moves patients as needed, reporting to the Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

• Skilled and compassionate Endoscopy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform all nursing duties in accordance with the state Nursing Practice Act, while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
• Actively demonstrate a working knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to care for the patient.
• Perform routine nursing care while utilizing age specific and universal precaution practices at all times Monitor patient progress and identifies any changes in status, acting on those changes to insure patient comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians and all healthcare professionals caring for patient, always giving a complete and thorough report on patient status throughout procedure process.
• Communicate with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Consistently seek educational tools in order to broaden knowledge base of various age groups, diseases, and best practices.
• Collaborates with the Infection Control Committee in preventing and identifying potential for infections.
• Supports and demonstrates continuous improvement of quality and service excellence.
• May perform other tasks as assigned.
