Job summary

Houston Community College is seeking an Instructional Faculty member to provide teaching, academic advising, and service across campus locations. The role includes developing courses, using diverse instructional methods, and supporting student learning.

The incumbent will maintain records, review materials, and engage in college activities while addressing diverse student backgrounds and fostering a learning-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher required; 6 years of endoscopy technician work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Bachelor's degree, certification as an endoscopy technician, a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, licensed registered nurse, or licensed doctor in Texas with extensive experience in endoscopy is preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach day or evening classes at multiple sites.
• Provide academic advising and student support.
• Develop and use course syllabi and innovative teaching methods.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit reports on time.
• Participate in institutional and community service activities.
