Job summary

Houston Community College seeks a part-time instructional faculty member to teach medical technology courses across multiple city sites. You will develop syllabi, employ diverse teaching methods, and assess student outcomes to meet program objectives.

You will also collect data, participate in advising, and contribute to institutional service and accreditation efforts while coordinating with department leaders. A strong candidate will combine clinical expertise with teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
• MT/MLS(ASCP) certification required.
• Eligible to teach clinical courses at affiliate sites.
• 3 years recent experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• 1 year teaching experience with NAACLS approved program preferred.
• Willing to teach day or evening classes at multiple sites around the city.

Responsibilities

• Deliver courses using approved curricula and assess student outcomes.
• Collect and analyze data to improve teaching and learning.
• Develop varied teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learners.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit timely reports.
