Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the Endoscopy department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and gastroenterologist. You will assist with endoscopic procedures, manage data entry and documentation, and help optimize equipment and supplies.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least two years of endoscopy lab experience, and AHA BLS. Completion of GI Technical Specialist and AGTS within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 2 years endoscopy lab experience required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals is required.
• Completion of GI Technical Specialist (GTS) and Advanced GI Technical Specialist (AGTS) within 90 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Equipment maintenance and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and washers per SGNA and Sharp policy.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and log books for regulatory compliance.
• Assist gastroenterologist during basic and advanced endoscopic procedures (ERCP, stent placement, EMR, balloon enteroscopy, EUS, FNA).
• Participate in annual competency training and update reprocessing modules as needed.
• Collect, label, and process tissue specimens; train new Endoscopy Technicians.
