Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Endoscopy Technician II to support gastroenterology teams by preparing and assisting with endoscopy procedures and post-procedure turnaround, including high-level disinfection of endoscopes.

The role requires clinic-grade communication, teamwork, and the ability to mentor other technicians while maintaining patient safety and quality care within a busy GI suite.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required (GED or similar accepted).
• Three years of Endoscopy Technician experience.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• Demonstrates proficiency with endoscopy equipment, instruments and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist GI providers during endoscopy procedures and related activities.
• Support preparation for procedures and turnaround tasks, including cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes.
• Serve as a mentor to Endo Tech I/II staff and train colleagues as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and high-quality patient care throughout processes.
