Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Endoscopy Technician to support the endoscopy suite by preparing scopes and supplies, assisting physicians, and ensuring equipment is clean and functional for each procedure.

You'll help position patients, transport materials, process specimens, and maintain strict adherence to sterilization and safety guidelines across ASGE, AAMI, AORN, TJC and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Surgical Technologist Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Endoscopy suite with solutions, scopes, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of scopes and equipment.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, and positioning patients.
• Passes scopes and supplies to assist the physician during endoscopy procedures.
• Keeps track of supplies during endoscopy procedures.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Performs cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of scopes and equipment per guidelines.
