Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Palm Beach County is seeking an Endoscopic Technician to support GI Lab operations under the direction of RNs. The role focuses on patient comfort, scope reprocessing, and procedural assistance in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The technician will disinfect endoscopes, manage solutions, document QA logs, and maintain high infection-prevention standards while mentoring new staff and participating in on-call coverage per department policy.

Qualifications

• CNA licensure in Florida is preferred.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers required or preferred.
• Endoscopic Tech certification preferred by SGNA.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect endoscopes used in GI Lab and Pulmonary procedures.
• Maintain disinfectant solutions and monitor reprocessing quality.
• Assist physicians during GI procedures (biopsies, PEGs, ERCPs, EUS, therapeutics) under RN supervision.
• Provide accurate documentation in the decontamination room and QA logs.
• Promote infection prevention and safe working environment; mentor new staff.
