Job summary

DigestiveCare, LLC in Beavercreek, OH is seeking a Part Time Endoscopy Tech to join our surgical center team. You will support GI procedures, prep equipment, assist physicians, and help maintain the GI suite in accordance with our policies.

Weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call shifts; some evenings may be required. Competitive salary and benefits are offered to the right candidate, including Health, Dental & Vision coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant certification preferred.
• Operating Room Technology certification a plus.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures.
• Prepare and maintain equipment; anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Assist physicians during GI procedures and document intra-procedure notes.
• Assist in Preop and Recovery; support patient turnover and stocking in the GI suite.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the GI procedure area and equipment.

Endoscopy Tech at DigestiveCare, LLC

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Prepares equipment and anticipates Physician and patient needs for GI procedures. Provides general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment. Oversees the GI procedures and maintains all aspects of the GI procedure area. Assessing patients prior to procedure. Document intra-procedure notes. Assist physician on all GI procedures. Prepares and maintains equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area. Cleans and maintains equipment per Center policy. Assists in Preop and Recovery with turning over bays, discharging patients, basic patient assistance and stocking

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Medical assistant certification
• Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus
• Current BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
• Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment
• Must be able to function as a team player
• Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal
