Job summary

Midwest Physicians Surgery Center in Lee's Summit, MO, seeks an Endoscopy Tech to assist with endoscopic procedures under a surgeon's supervision.

You will help operate technical equipment, clean and disinfect endoscopes, manage room turnover, stock supplies, and perform clerical duties as needed. Weekdays only, no weekends or holidays, some evenings.

Competitive salary and benefits offered; BLS certification and endoscopy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Preferred two years’ experience in endoscopy.
• BLS Certification required or preferred.

Endoscopy Tech at Midwest Physicians Surgery Center

The GI technician/Endoscopy functions under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse and the GI technician work as a team in the procedure room to provide the optimal conditions in achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation. Other GI technician responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, room turnover. Stocking procedure rooms, ordering supplies and performing a variety of clerical duties.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
