Job summary

Ouzinkie Native Corporation seeks a Team Leader to oversee contractor endoscopy technicians and support staff, coordinating schedules, training, and quality standards to ensure safe, high-quality endoscopy services. You will liaise with healthcare departments and maintain compliance with procedures and policies.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s degree.
• Must have at least 1 year of gastroenterology services experience (endoscopy and colonoscopy) within the last two years.
• Must have an Active BLS Certification.
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead contractor endoscopy technicians and support staff.
• Assist in planning and establishing work schedules for Endoscopy Center and its assigned personnel, ensures DMHRSi/ATAAPS is correct and deadlines are met.
• Ensure personnel adhere to performance standards per ACG, ASGE, and AGA.
• Develop training standards for new employees and trainees.
• Maintain Competency Assessment Folders for section personnel.
• Update monthly all mandatory training and conduct in-service training on new procedures/equipment.
• Oversee and lead technicians in their duties.
• Provide training and quality control feedback to staff and rotating providers.
• Train incoming contractors with advanced scopes and EHR software (EndoVault, EndoScheduler, Genesis).
• Manage teaching files for fellows and residents' training/education.
• Coordinate with other departments for gastro procedures and liaise between inpatient and Endoscopy Center.
• Update endoscope SOPs annually.
• Use performance improvement surveys to improve quality.
• Monitor working conditions (seating, ventilation, lighting, safety).
• Approve leave and inform of services; resolve simple staff complaints.
• Report performance/training needs to supervisor; support promotions/ reassignment decisions.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
