Job summary

The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking an Endoscopy Lead Technician to supervise the Endoscopy Technician team and provide direct patient care under supervision of the Clinical Manager and RN. You will support hiring, orientation, and ongoing staff development while ensuring infection control and regulatory standards are followed.

Responsibilities include coordinating staff meetings, updating policies, and maintaining equipment and supplies to support safe, efficient endoscopy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• RI registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Endoscopy/Surgical tech experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• SGNA Associates Program required within 1 year of start.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating staff meetings for Endoscopy Technician staff and distributes minutes.
• Provides departmental updates and feedback via email and in person.
• Ensures compliance with TJC/DOH and other standards through rounding, coaching and training.
• Monitors infection control measures and quality indicators in the endoscopy environment.
• Updates policies and collaborates with infection control as needed.
• Oversees reprocessing technique of endoscopy equipment and nursing staff.
• Maintains communication with leadership and staff; recognizes contributions.
• Assists in interviewing candidates and supports hiring decisions and performance processes.
• Oversees orientation and in-servicing for Endoscopy Technicians.
