Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
• Surgical Technology experience levels: New Grad <1 year, Surg Tech I = 1 year, Surg Tech II = 2-4 years, Surg Tech III = 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Provides proficient perioperative patient care as a scrub assistant to the physician.
• Supports readiness and flow of cases to facilitate unit functioning.
• Verifies supplies/instruments/equipment are ready per surgeon's cards and asepsis principles.
• Ensures safe care adhering to Memorial Hermann policies and standards.
• Serves as preceptor/mentor and supports staff development.
• Demonstrates compassionate and personalized patient experiences.
