Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Surgical Tech for Endoscopy at Memorial Hermann Cypress. Full time, 6:30am–3:00pm, Monday–Friday; call required. Provides proficient perioperative care and serves as scrub assistant under RN supervision.

Requirements: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program; BLS certification; NBSTSA or NCCT certification. Endoscopy experience a plus. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency and teamwork in the OR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification valid.
• Endoscopy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient perioperative patient care using equipment and instrumentation and support readiness and flow of cases.
• Serve as scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures under RN supervision.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide care appropriate to patient across life cycles.
• Verify functioning and availability of supplies/instruments prior to procedures; apply aseptic principles.
