Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support physicians during procedures and maintain endoscopy rooms at the Texas Medical Center. Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an Endoscopy Technician Certification Program or one year of equivalent healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists physicians with endoscopy procedures as assigned by a registered nurse delivering appropriate care to clients according to the Endoscopy Skills Inventory.
  • Obtains and prepares supplies and instruments according to physician preferences; restocks supplies, and maintains endoscopy rooms.
  • Assists in scheduling and rescheduling of patients.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
  • Promotes professional growth by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department goals; serves as preceptor and mentor.
