Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required (noted)
• Associate's degree preferred
• CRCST certification required
• CSPDT certification required
• CER certification required
• CHL within 1 year of hire or SIPS-HFL within 1 year of hire
• Current Sterile Processing certification and CPD Manager certification preferred
• Minimum of five years' experience in sterile processing or Endoscopy

Aufgaben

• Oversee workflow of Endoscopy Technicians in the operating room and GPU Department.
• Administer high-level disinfection per AORN, AAMI and SGNA standards.
• Coordinate, maintain, and store instruments, supplies and equipment to support inventories.
• Collaborate with GPU charge nurse to deploy staff resources for cases in GPU and MOR.
• Develop and update decontamination and sterilization methods as needed.
• Monitor staff assignments and provide training/orientation for new staff.
• Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate performance, and handle personnel actions with Sterile Processing Manager.
• Assist in selecting new equipment and participating in related committees or projects.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies and safety requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of trends in procurement, processing, and maintenance of instruments and supplies.
