Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Endoscopy Supervisor to oversee Endoscopy Technicians in the operating room and GPU. Responsibilities include high-level disinfection, inventory maintenance, and staff training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED is required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification is required.
• CER certification is required.
• Certification for CHL or SIPS-HFL should be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow of Endoscopy Technicians in the operating room and GPU Department.
• Administer high-level disinfection per AORN, AAMI and SGNA standards.
• Coordinate, maintain, and store instruments, supplies, and equipment to support inventory levels.
• Deploy staff resources with GPU charge nurse; ensure endoscopic equipment availability for surgical cases in GPU and MOR.
• Develop and update decontamination and sterilization methods; ensure policy compliance.
• Supervise staff, conduct evaluations, provide guidance, and arrange training for staff.
• Assist in selection and introduction of new equipment; participate in committees/projects.
• Ensure compliance with hospital, departmental, and external policies and safety requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in procurement, processing, and maintenance of instruments and supplies.
