Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Equipment Coordinator to oversee specialized clinical equipment and inventory for surgical services. You will be a SME guiding maintenance, lifecycle planning, and capital needs while collaborating with OR, Biomed, Purchasing, and vendors.

Required is 3 years in inventory/healthcare materials management, with a high school diploma; an Associate degree is preferred and CRCST/CSPDT certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in inventory management or related field.
• Experience with healthcare materials management, sterile processing, or operating room support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on specialized equipment utilization, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, replacements, and capital acquisitions.
• Collaborate with OR, Sterile Processing, Biomed, Purchasing, vendors, and other departments to ensure readiness.
• Monitor equipment expenditures and contribute to budgeting and cost-efficiency.
• Prioritize repairs and replacements based on clinical needs and procedure schedules.
