Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is seeking an Endoscopy Scope Washer to maintain and care for instruments used in outpatient gastroenterology procedures. The facility features multiple rooms and a fast-paced surgical schedule supporting outpatient services.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and 1–2 years of sterile processing experience, with knowledge of sterilizers and OR instrumentation. Certification is preferred, with readiness to adapt to changing patient needs.

Qualifications

Position: Endoscopy Scope Washer

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring an Endoscopy Scope Washer. The position is located in a facility with 1 operating room and 3 procedure rooms, performing outpatient surgical procedures in gastroenterology.

Schedule

The role is weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or on‑call duties. Early mornings and late evenings may be required, subject to the surgical schedule and daily flow.

Responsibilities

The Endoscopy Scope Washer maintains and cares for all surgical instruments, preparing supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1–2 years of sterile processing experience
• Completion of a sterile process certification program is preferred
• Experience with all types of sterilizers
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
