Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse to manage Admit, Recovery, and Discharge (ARD) during endoscopic procedures. You will deliver high-quality nursing care across admission, procedural, and recovery phases, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining accurate documentation.

The role requires an accredited nursing education, Illinois RN licensure, and ACLS/CPR certifications within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Illinois RN licensure required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with changing into appropriate attire.
• Complete preoperative assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer preoperative medications and IV therapy.
• Provide preoperative education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with care team regarding patient status and needs.
• Assess, monitor, and support patients throughout recovery.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document procedure logs and required forms accurately.
• Prepare patients for discharge and provide homecare instructions.
• Discharge patients to a responsible adult as ordered by the proceduralist.
