Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to support endoscopy services including prep, intra-procedure, and recovery for colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. The RN will provide direct patient care, monitor and sedate under physician direction, and coordinate with the team across inpatient and outpatient settings.

This role requires licensure as an RN in IL with BLS within 30 days of hire and a nursing degree (ADN/BSN) or college diploma.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in IL and BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Education: College diploma in Nursing, ADN, or BSN.
• Experience providing direct patient care and assisting in endoscopy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment on patient admission and develop a care plan.
• Provide sedation under physician direction and monitor patient during procedure and recovery.
• Document nursing care accurately and maintain safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and delegate to unlicensed personnel.
• Prepare patient for procedure and assist CRNA during anesthesia cases.
