Job summary

Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessments, IV starts, medication administration, sedation monitoring, intra-procedure vigilance, post-procedure recovery, discharge teaching, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Endoscopy RN role requiring nursing licensure and endoscopy experience.
• Proficiency in patient assessment and safety standards.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and techs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for endoscopy.
• Start IVs and administer medications as ordered.
• Provide and monitor moderate sedation with vitals and airway surveillance
• Perform intra-procedure monitoring and ensure patient safety
• Oversee post-procedure recovery and readiness for discharge
• Document care accurately in the EMR
