Job summary

The position includes assisting during procedures with Time Out adherence, providing moderate sedation under physician supervision, and managing PACU recovery and discharge instructions for patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing.
• Active Florida RN license.
• Minimum of one year experience in outpatient endoscopy, medical surgical unit, or GI lab.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum one year pain management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the endoscopy suite by preparing patients, obtaining pre‑admission data, and communicating medical history to the physician and staff.
• Assist physician, nurse extender, and GI tech during procedures; ensure Time Out; provide moderate sedation under physician supervision; ensure path requisitions and photographs as applicable.
• In PACU, assess patient condition, document findings, perform handoffs, monitor response to treatment, administer medications, and discharge per policy.
